That, my friend, is your entire problem in life. You wait. You wait for the ideal moment. You wait for the stars to align with Mercury in retrograde... or whatever you believe in. The issue is that you sit and wait... and you don't do anything.
Here's a little life secret: There will never be a perfect time. You'll never feel ready. The stars will never align just right. That's the point of the 26.2 Challenge... to develop confidence, resilience, and resolve to do hard stuff. Like going all in on something even if you're not prepared. Life doesn't wait for you for the "perfect" moment, it just happens.
So start.
What happens if I fail?
That's okay. Every person who has accomplished something worthwhile has failed. Look at Elon Musk, Walt Disney, and Abraham Lincoln. They've all done great things but they've also failed too.
With this program, you can fail, and then pick yourself back up. That's the beauty of the 26.2 Challenge, you have the chance to push through adversity and come out the other side a better man.
This seems hard to do.
EXACTLY! It’s hard, but it’s not impossible. That's the whole idea. You're gonna face some physical, mental, and emotional adversity throughout this six week process. And that's what you want to happen.
Adversity lets you meet the higher version of yourself. During this challenge, you're gonna face enough adversity to let the positive and permanent changes you experience finally stick.
So that becoming a Purpose-Driven Man becomes a way of life, and not a phase.
Can I do {insert your random task} instead of one of the 26.2 Challenge tasks?
NO... right now you're trying to take control of the situation so you can feel comfortable. No shortcuts.
Stop.
The reason you're NOT where you want to be right now is that you keep trying to control things, so they're more pleasurable than purpose driven.
I tell you this because I used to do the same thing. I'd modify it to my liking, and then quit. And then ask myself, "Wtf happened?"
Look man, if you want to really become a Purpose-Driven Man, stop trying to make this comfortable. You can do this.
I'm too out of shape right now... I haven't exercised in years.
Stop limiting yourself, and playing small, my friend.
I developed the 26.2 Challenge to work for anyone regardless of your fitness level.
